Encounter abundant native wildlife, hike through beautiful national parks and learn about the indigenous culture while you travel through the most spectacular and untouched areas of South Australia and Western Australia.  

With a lot a land to cover, you can expect an average days drive of approximately 250 to 310-miles (400 to 500-kilometres). Don't be deterred however, there is lots of merriment and even singalongs on the bus, and there will be frequent stops and highlights to visit before setting up camp each night. The diversity of the scenery when travelling across Australia is incredible and crossing the Nullarbor has become a rite of passage for travellers to Australia.

Day 1: Brisbane

Depart Brisbane at 7am, Gold Coast at 8.45am and Byron Bay at 10:15am and head towards your first stop, Fingal Head. Fingal Head just over the Queensland border is the first stop on our tour. We couldn't drive past Fingal without sharing it's beauty with you. Situated just south of the famous Snapper Rocks and Duranbah, Fingal Head provides some great surfing options for all abilities.

Overnight: Surf House in Byron Bay

Day 2 and 3: Byron Bay
Byron Bay is a diverse cultural experience, with people from all walks of life calling Byron home. It is a melting pot of surfers, hippies, artists and the rich and famous creating a unique atmosphere. From mountain back drops, amazing beaches, fine food and a racy night life, Byron has something for everyone.

Overnight: Surf House in Byron Bay

Day 4 and 5: Moonee Beach
Moonee Beach located 20 minutes drive north of Coffs Harbour is a beautiful laid back coastal town where you can immerse yourself in mother nature.

Overnight: Moonee Beach hideaway (2 nights)

Day 6 and 7: Cresent Head
Cresent Head has a charismatic charm that entices travelers with its amazing world class beaches and beautiful scenery.

Overnight: Surf Camp at Cresent Head (2 nights)

Day 8 and 9: Forster and Central Coast
Known for its watersports, Forster is located in the centre of the Great Lakes area of NSW and home to some stunning beaches. The Central Coast is littered with a classic mix of inlets, bays, headlands and pristine beaches offering a lot of surfing potential.

Overnight: Surf Camp on the Central Coast

Day 10: Sydney
After the 10 day Surf Safari we will drop you off at Central Station in Sydney at approximately 3pm.

Overnight: Surf Camp on the Central Coast

Day 2: Central Coast and Forster
Visit the tree top adventure park offering high rope adventures including multiple flying foxes and challenges on the central coast. Check out local aboriginal art and swim in the ocean baths in Forster.

Overnight: Surf Camp at the magic hideaway of the Great Lakes area

Day 3 and 4: Cresent Head

Crescent Head is home to whales, dolphins, turtles and even koala’s which can be spotted on many of the unique hiking options available. Crescent Head is also renowned for one of the best Point Breaks in the world.

Two nights: Surf Camp at the beautiful coastal town of Cresent Head

Day 5 and 6: Moonee Beach and Coffs Harbour
Headland, beach and nature walks. Explore Mutton Bird Island. Visit the Big Banana.

Two nights: Moonee Beach hideaway half an hour north of Coffs Harbour

Day 7 and 8: Byron Bay
Visit Australia’s eastern most point on a light house tour and if you’re lucky enough we might even catch the annual whale migration. Experience this vibrant town walking the streets and calling into the famous top pub for an icy cold beverage after your day of surfing.

Two nights: Surf House at the world renowned Byron Bay situated 1 hour south of the Gold Coast.

Day 8 and 9: Gold Coast
Tour the Gold Coasts most famous waves and hopefully catch sight of one of our world champion surfers. Visit the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and feed the Kangaroos, get photo’s holding the Koala’s and spend time with all of Australia’s native wildlife. Visit and surf at the famous Surfers Paradise.

Two nights: Surf House on the Gold Coast

Day 10: Brisbane
After the 10 day surf safari you will be dropped you off on the Byron Bay at 2pm, Gold Coast at 3pm or Brisbane at 5pm. It is possible to use your own transport if you prefer.

1. Sunset Ridge Farm
 A family owned and run business based on the top of the mountain range over looking green rolling hills lush rainforest and over looks a large part of the Tablelands with magnificent views.
They grow several different varieties of native fruits Davidson plum, Lemon aspen and Finger limes. We have a delicious breakfast made from these fruits and you can then purchase jams and marshmallows unique to the region.


2. Rainforest Bounty

Next, head  to the scenic outskirts of the Historic rural town of Malanda to a private property to taste Gallo Cheeses with their signature condiments utilizing locally grown Davidson plum, lemon aspen lilly pilly  and rainforest  tamarind in traditional artisanal recipes. Sip a native fruit cocktail whilst overlooking the delightful Johnston River from their River Pavilion.

3 Australian Platypus Park at Tarzali Lakes
These wonderful creatures can be found in a spring fed pond, we take a wonder down to see them in this magnificent setting then sit down to a unique lunch. The lunch is produced onsite using their smoked products and include Crocodile, Red Claw (Yabby) Kangaroo, Smoked chicken and smoked Spanish Mackerel, the a choice of Platypus boutique beer or Dragon Fruit cider and a Lemon Myrtle tea.

4. Gallo Dairyland

Head through the picturesque village of Yungaburra to a fully operational dairy farm spread across 1000 acres of rich red volcanic soil with handcrafted chocolates and a gourmet cheese factory. Taste irresistible Swiss style filled chocolates that are a work of art. 

5. The Humpy

Stop at ‘The Humpy’, the best place to go to for freshly harvested Atherton Tablelands produce straight from the growers. From vegetables to tropical fruits and hundreds of different varieties of nuts, dried fruits locally produced jams and sauces. Taste some seasonal fruits and many different flavours of hot local peanuts and macadamia nuts.

6. Mount Uncle Distillery

Travel just down the road to the Mount Uncle distillery, North Queensland's first and only distillery. Taste some of their award winning liqueurs and spirits, and a tasting of their new boutique beer, before a delicious fresh lunch of local produce and a glass of wine or beer.

7. Debrueys Boutique Tropical Winery

Down a secret bush track, find De Bruey's Boutique Wines. Sit on the back deck sipping 15 deliciously different tropical fruit wines, liqueurs, cream liqueurs and Ports whilst overlooking the beautiful surrounds of gum trees & Billabong.

8. Jaques Family Coffee Plantation

Visit the Jaques Family coffee plantation, in the family for three generations, for a stroll through the coffee bushes and gardens. Finish the stop with a delicious cup of Jaques coffee made just as you like it and homemade scones with local jam & cream.

This day trip departs Melbourne early at 6.15 and travels directly to Loch Ard Gorge via the inland route, getting you there 9.30am. Here you'll have the opportunity to explore the Razorback lookout, the opening to the gorge and the wonderful beach.

Then it is on to the 12 Apostles to enjoy the magnificent rocks. At this stop you have the opportunity to purchase a helicopter flights (at own expense, payable direct). It is then time to head inland to Laver Hill where we stop for lunch (own cost), then it is onto  Otway Fly Adventure, You have an hour to explore the forest from the treetop walk.
