See the heritage buildings of settlement. Walk the rivers of the Southern Highlands. Venture along bush tracks created 200 years ago. Berrima, a village on the old stage coach route is beautiful and charming. Home to the oldest long serving pub in Australia boasts great food as you sit out the back with a glass of cold beer. Try breakfast at one of the best patisseries in the state after walking the banks of the Wingecarribee river.

Walk through the bush of the state forest, we have walked it for forty years and it never loses its charm.
Superb for dawn photography as the sun rises over the river. In winter see the smoke rising from the wood fired houses.
With luck walk through the frosty grass as the village is covered in white. It soon burns off to reveal magnificent blue skies.

Catch a train from any station on Sydney's city circle line with a destination of Campbelltown or Macarthur, we will meet you on the station.

You travel through the foothills of the Blue Mountains passing through Menangle where we hold our Winter morning shoots. Over the picturesque hills towards the freeway and the short journey to Mittagong and the tourist village of Berrima.
Your vehicle is a luxury air conditioned 4wd type body with lots of space.
We bypass Mittagong but will visit on the return journey.
Our first stop is the picturesque little village or Berrima which sits on the banks of the Wingecarribee River.
Early starters have caught Kangaroos coming to the river to drink. The village of Berrima has a long history with one of Australia's longest serving pub. The walk along the river is superb as is the buildings dating back to the old stage coach days. Berrima is a beautiful photography location
For refreshments you can visit an award winning patisserie close to the village green.
Nex is a short distance along the old Hume Highway to the State Forest at Mittagong for a walk through the bush. The track used to be a narrow gauge railway. Built in the late 1800's all signs of the railway are long gone with nature taking over.
The total length of the walk is 4.5 km. Walk as far as you wish.
The full walk graded in the easy category passes through several cuttings each with its own special environment. There is even a tunnel hacked through the sandstone bluff.
Often families with children can be seen along the track enjoying the bush.
After returning to the vehicle you will stop a few km up the highway at picturesque Lake Alexandra in Mittagong for a break.
Moving on you travel back into the Macarthur Region with a short stop at the tiny township of Menangle before your return to your original railway station.
