Enjoy two nights in the Blue Mountains on this photography tour following in the footsteps of the early explorers. Enjoy a bonus sunset photography shoot (weather permitting). Photograph Blue Mountains highlights and travel to Hill End Gold Town and National Park. Photography at Hill End with additional night shoot. Dawn workshop on the Turon River Gorge then visit the Goldfields and towns before returning to your Sydney pickup point.

Day One

  • Pickup point is Katoomba Railway Station at a prearranged time.
  • Transport to motel then review/ photograph Blue Mountains highlights. This requires an earlier arrival at Katoomba ie afternoons
  • Dinner at local restaurant.
Day Two
  • Bonus sunrise/dawn workshop weather permitting.
  • Visit waterfalls and gorges of the Blue Mountains.
  • Breakfast at local eatery.
  • Drive through to Bathurst and the Goldfields country. This area is 2000 square kilometers of volcanic vents which create super panoramic views
  • Arrive and book into Hill End motel before visiting lookouts and the old gold town where gold is still mined.
  • Arrive and book into motel.
  • Tour Hill End and lookouts.
  • Dinner at Motel.
  • Sunset workshop weather permitting (bonus).
Day Three
  • Dawn/sunrise workshop for early risers (bonus).
  • Breakfast and book out of motel.
  • Explore Chinese goldfields and the Golden Arch.

At Waradah, experience the highlight of the live cultural performances (4-5 person performances). The live performance area is a dedicated theatre accessed through the centre.There is lecture on the Aboriginal culture and history ( approximately 5-minutes), followed by a Didgeridoo and audience interaction performance, including live dancers. The Corroboree (dance) showcases four to five authentic dances; performed by Aboriginal dancers in traditional paint and costume.

The Centre is a combination Art Gallery and Performance Attraction. Lectures at the Centre provide an introduction to Australian Aboriginal Culture, including the story of the Three Sisters and an explanation of a traditional tool kit permanently on display. The Art is a showcase of authentic paintings, digeridoo's, sculptures and pottery. Experienced indigenous staff explain to visitors the background of the art. The authentic art and other gallery craft items from around Australia are available for purchase.
